Chapter 5 - A Little Manor Work
Working on a part of the manor, which is partly done with black foam board. For the curved tower rooms, I made light cuts the length of this piece, every half inch.
Once I made all the light cuts - not going all the way through the board - I carefully bent it along each slice, curving it nicely outward.
After I curved it evenly around, I traced around the bottom edge to make a template for the floors. Then I cut one out and glued it in place at the inside bottom of the tower.
I put thin strips on the sides of the tower rooms at each height where a floor would go. Didn't use any pins here.
Next, the peaked roof of the main section of the manor needed some beams to support the large roof pieces. These will probably be covered with a wood grained paper at a later date.
With the roof attached, I like the looks of this attic. The beams will definitely need to have a wood finish on them. The manor is coming together nicely!
